"Sharing a lifelong athletics journey to inspire and support the next generation of coaches."

1. Why You Want to Be Involved in the Mentoring Program?

In a sport I am passionate about, I would like to contribute my knowledge to help coaches both professionally and personally. This sport has been a life journey for over 40 years and is ever-evolving. I value the opportunity to share this journey with others.

2. What Can You Offer the Mentees?

In a sport I been involved as an elite athlete and coach from junior to senior level it is a way to give back to the athletics coaching community and help assist the future of coaching in a meaningful way. Coaching is not just about programming and planning; but also, about building relationships, fostering leadership and creating an environment where athletes can thrive. Hopefully it will allow the mentees the freedom to share and discuss the diverse challenges faced by coaches at different stages of their careers, including for myself, balancing life and work with a husband who is a full time HP Coach.

Through the National Junior and Target Talent Programs I provided support and mentorship to coaches and athletes through training camps and targeted DTE visits

I have coached sprints, plyometrics and strength training for various team sports from school to state level.

3. What Would You Like to Gain from the Program?

Engaging the in the program will provide further opportunity for personal growth by also learning from the experience and insights of other coaches, in the current climate. Working as a mentor in a more formal arrangement can enhance my communication and leadership skills to guide others more effectively.
